• Navigate the endless landscapes of Andorra

    Now that the good weather is finally on its way, it's time for you to enjoy Andorra's endless landscapes, and what better way to do that than on foot. We will introduce you today to some of the principality's best hiking routes, so you can discover its greenest and wildest side, and there are plenty of those to enjoy! And don’t forget that you will find all the equipment you need for your outdoor adventures at the Ski & Mountain Center.

    Maià Peak
    ● Distance: 7.1 km
    ● Difficulty: easy
    ● Time: 3h 20min

     

    A safe, easy route with unbeatable views, following a wide ridge with ledges at each end. It starts at the Envalira Pass (Port d’Envalira) and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Fontnegre, Pessons, Montalús, Comapedrosa, Serrera, Font-blanca, Estanyó and la Cabaneta peaks.

    The “Neres” trail
    ● Distance: 7.97 km
    ● Difficulty: easy
    ● Time: 2h 59min

     

    Neres is the name given to places where witches once gathered. This route passes through forests and meadows in the parishes of Canillo, Encamp, Ordino and la Massana. It has many varying stretches – none of which are dangerous – and is ideal for children.

     

    Engolasters Lake and the Pardines trail
    ● Distance: 13.8 km
    ● Difficulty: easy
    ● Time: 3h 25min

     

    Suitable for children, this easy linear route around the outskirts of Encamp has many points of interest for tourists. It will introduce you to the surroundings of Engolasters Lake (Escaldes-Engordany), following a section that links the churches of Sant Miquel de Engolasters and Sant Miquel de Prats, in the parish of Canillo.

     

    Incles Valley
    ● Distance: 7.46 km
    ● Difficulty: moderate
    ● Time: 2h 26min.

     

    A pleasant route through the Incles Valley and the “edges” of Andorra, with immense grazing meadows that offer an insight into the traditional way of life of the high-mountain livestock farmers.

     

    Pessons Cirque and lake
    ● Distance: 10.67 km
    ● Difficulty: moderate
    ● Time: 2h 44min

     

    A gentle, gradual route that is suitable for all levels. Depending on your preference and how much walking you wish to do, you can follow the path and return along the same route, or even take a circular route, climbing up to the Pessons lakes and descending via the Solana lakes.

     

    Abelletes Lake and Envalira Peaks
    ● Distance: 7.9 km
    ● Difficulty: moderate
    ● Time: 3h

     

    A linear, round-trip route that starts in Pas de la Casa and will eventually lead you to the Envalira peaks. Admire the contrasts between the steep and rocky northern slopes and the southern slopes, which are gentler and lined with abundant vegetation.

     

    La Nou Lake and the valleys of Claror and Perafita
    ● Distance: 12.9 km
    ● Difficulty: hard
    ● Time: 4h 20min

     

    A circular route that will take you through the Claror-Perafita section of the Vall del Madriu-Perafita-Claror Natural Park, an area declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2004, in the Cultural Landscape category.

     

    Estanyó lake and peak
    ● Distance: 11.7 km
    ● Difficulty: hard
    ● Time: 4h 45min

     

    A linear route to and from the Estanyó peak, one of the most spectacular natural vantage points in Andorra. Its altitude (2,915 m) and location make for unforgettable views. The route also runs through the Sorteny Valley Natural Park, the largest protected natural area in the Principality.
